Profile
Zaman is basically a hockey player and represented the Government C.T.M. High School, Ismailabad, then the Government Technology College Multan and continued playing hockey for his company team, "Colony Textile Mills". Later he joined Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) Goth machhi as a trainee operator and represented their football & hockey teams for around ten years. In FFC he started playing Squash and was the surprise runner-up in his first tournament. He loved watching cricket, but he never thought that one day he would hold a cricket bat, or for that matter a cricket ball. Even though he joined QP in 1997, it was only in 2005, he really started his cricketing carrier under the captainship of Mr. Loy Roche in 1st Chairman's Cup Cricket tournament representing Dukhan Falcon Team as an all rounder. But he soon turned out to be the real backbone of the Dukhan Cricket Team fast bowling attack. He is a good sweeper of ball at any length, due to his long reach. His true strength lies in his swing bowling, the speed is not known, but batsmen including the keeper are always scared due to its variety of bowling. One never knows where the next ball is going to land – leg side, offside or on the batsman or keeper!

He gratitude’s his 1st coach ( not an air-conditioned coach !) Mr. Loy Roche for making a cricketer out of him. But complains that the coach had never guided him as to how to control the wide balls. Only recently, was told that it was because of his erratic bowling action, and crossed legged delivery stride ! He wishes to express his thanks to Mr. M.P. Parab and Subhash for rectifying his action. But the wide balls seem to be coming still !!! Maybe we need to find a mechanism for moving the pitch, so the ball lands inside it anyway!!!
