Profile
The game of cricket has been my partner since childhood and after a year’s stint of high-schooling in India, I had an opportunity of learning cricket the hard way by playing street cricket and later maturing into school cricket. I captained Ideal Indian School and led the team to its first ever podium finish by achieving a famous victory over arch rivals MES Indian School in 1996.  I went on to represent my college team in Mangalore University zonal matches. The best experience for me was to play in the lush green fields of Cardiff where I represented Cardiff University and had the unique opportunity to bowl to Wasim Akram & co. in the practice nets prior to the Pakistan-Australia match in Cardiff (Natwest Series, June 2001). Although I got hit around, I enjoyed the occasion. I started my career as a bowler and then took up my batting seriously and converted slowly into a medium paced all-rounder batting at the opening slot. I love to play in the Dukhan Cricket ground and I am one of those privileged players to have featured in all Chairman’s Cup Cricket Tournaments. I am still chasing the elusive 50/100 in the big tournaments, but as long as the team is doing well, I am fine with it. I have captained the RLC Team in 3 editions of the tournament and one of our best moments was when we beat the formidable RasGas in the 2009 quarterfinals. I dream to bring glory to Ras Laffan City by bringing home one of the major trophies. I thank my father for teaching me this sport and I have always tried to emulate him and his sporting spirit.
